Epoch rollover and the ETSI corpus
A first corpus-wide look at bounded time representations and their horizons, in support of ETSI PWI WKI_ID 79366.
Some specifications fix a bounded representation for time, a 32-bit count of seconds or a 16-bit count of days, and say nothing about the date at which that representation runs out. This work screened the 66,302 text-bearing deliverables of the 67,122-document ETSI corpus for that pattern, then read the most exposed places at the clause, and reports what a proper fitness check would involve.
Everything named in the paper is a candidate for expert review by the owning technical body, not a finding against a standard, and no statement is made about documents that were not flagged or not read. The paper carries its own account of what the method does and does not establish.
